“If your actions inspire others to learn more, dream more, do more, become more, you are a leader.” - John Quincy Adams
It is with the utmost respect and admiration that I reflect on the leadership qualities espoused by one of our nation’s most distinguished leaders, the 6th President of the United States, that I move forward in my own quest to become Village President of Olympia Fields. After careful reflection of my political, social and community service, I realize this is a journey I began many years ago with the direction and mentorship of some of Olympia Fields’ most respected leaders. From my early days sitting on educational committees working to improve our district wide educational system, to reorganizing and expanding our youth baseball program, to three terms as Village Trustee, I humbly ask for your support to serve you as the next President of Olympia Fields. I am Ready!
I move forward on this road with a new vision. I’ve been on the sidelines, championed causes to keep your local taxes down, improve the business landscape and continued to do whatever necessary to help beautify, and enhance the esthetics and charm of our world class village. While we live in one of the most premiere municipalities in the southern suburbs, I have dreams of an even better community. We must continue to work diligently to attract new homeowners and new businesses while striving to re-establish our reputation for top tier schools district-wide. I want to do more and I need your support.
In the days and weeks to follow, I will share some of my visions. I would like you to join me on the “first steps to the next thousand miles!” We will build upon the traditions established by the founding fathers while embracing the challenges of a renaissance generation. There is a great deal to be done. As I move forward to become more of the leader Olympia Field residents want, I am confident and comforted in knowing working as a team we will get it done. I am Ready!
